Earthquake-hit Myanmar still needs help despite international aid

Countries such as India, Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, and Belarus are helping with the rescue teams, while many other countries are also sending aid and donating.

Rescue efforts are being delayed as rescue supplies cannot easily reach the worst-hit Sagaing region.

Major highways are crumbling, land subsidence is subsiding, bridges are broken, and airports are still not in use, making it difficult to provide assistance.

In Nay Pyi Taw, where the government is headquartered, the administrative process is slow due to damaged offices, injured employees, lack of housing, power outages, and internet difficulties, so it is known that road and communication will be repaired quickly.
